Dry

Dry and burning

forest and brush

water less

lands parched

even the emerald green

northwest

has a thirsty

dull look this fall.

It started raining

just when it was

supposed to

we are the lucky ones

on the west side

of the mountains

Our world keeps

reeling from

natural disaster

to man made

catastrophes

birth pains

or apocalypse

Water

we are thirsty for

Living water

we can’t live

without this

watering

  1. My hometown is still smoked in. It’s nearly October and the fire base camp is twice the population of the town.
