Thirty-one years ago my husband and I were married. It was on the hottest day of the year in a suburb of Los Angeles. We have been traversing through the borderlands ever since. We started where East meets West in Hong Kong and later Taiwan. After a few years we headed to Western China. Then we crossed the border into Kazakhstan several years after that.
The spiritual borderlands we have been crossing are a little more difficult to describe, but just as important to the shaping of our lives. Jesus once described the Kingdom of God as a mustard seed that grows into a large tree providing shelter for many. Another time as yeast mixed into a batch of dough, spreading and growing. This Kingdom we are part of is ever growing in us and through us, changing us and hopefully those around us for the good, by pushing out the darkness and brokenness in our lives and bringing light and life in it’s path.
We have three amazing children, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law.
