For the Faint of Heart

Living, Breathing,

Getting around, over, under and through

Obstacles in the way

Fires complicating all of the above

Scorched homes, businesses and schools

Lungs of various degrees of health suffering

One man with a pocket full of matches and a lighter

A felony record, up from Arizona

Why was he here?

Why wasn’t he monitored?

Who knows the mind of a troubled soul

Or a government slashing programs

Right and left, up and down

As if these were obstacles in the way

Of billionaires lining their pockets.
